5-years, 2-mayors, and 1 committed, passionate council member later, Texas-based H-E-B broke ground on its new 90,000 square foot store in Houston’s historic Riverside and Third Ward this weekend. Located in a predominantly African-American neighborhood, this store will serve residents notwithstanding their family’s income. The collaboration needed for this store to come to fruition was remarkable.
