Encore Theatre is a non-profit theatrical group founded in 1994 by prolific playwright and Professor Harold J. Haynes who believed that the Houston community needed a source to teach fledgling African American and Hispanic actors. Encore Theatre presents original plays, most written by Professor Haynes, as well as classical and contemporary works.
