Waterman Steele client, Eunice is taking shape at 3737 Buffalo Speedway, a new office development in Houston’s Greenway Plaza area. The restaurant is the first Houston concept from BRG Hospitality, the New Orleans-based group whose collections include Restaurant August, Luke, Domenica, Borgne, and Shaya.
Drake Leonards, the project’s executive chef, and partner will create a menu of Cajun-Creole brasserie-style fare inspired by the flavors of his childhood growing up in Eunice, La. The restaurant will serve seasonally-inspired dishes with Gulf Coast leanings including a full raw bar with Royal Red shrimp, blue crab, and oysters from Louisiana and Texas. The menu also will include roasted seafood such as shellfish-stuffed oysters and New Orleans-style gumbo; crispy Bandera Quail; Texas redfish court bouillon; slow-roasted cochon de lait; and seasonal tarts, pies and house-spun ice cream.
Eunice is located under the canopy of 100-year old oak trees, designed with “Eunice-inspired plaster and pressed wildflowers, quilted fabrics, linen lanterns, and classic farmhouse furnishings layered over a backdrop of whitewashed shiplap and textured tiles,”

The 7,000 SF restaurant will seat 125, both indoor and outdoor.
