1st Texas Kartell Flagship Store

Waterman Steele Real Estate Advisors announced today the execution of a lease of 2,600 SF at 213 W. Gray Street, Houston, for Kartell, an Italy-based modern furniture store. Waterman Steele Vice President Adrian Ramirez represented Kartell and Weingarten Realty broker Brooke Harvey represented the Lessor. Kartell will take occupancy in November 2016.

 

Founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli in Milan, Italy, Kartell was one of the first companies to use plastic in their designs and manufactured automobile accessories. Kartell expanded into home furnishings in 1963 and became well known through the work by designer and architect Anna Castelli Ferrieri. Modern furniture designers such as Phillippe Stark, Ferruccio Laviani, Piero Lissoni, are Tokujin Yoshioka are a sampling of the many world renown designers represented by Kartell.

 

Kartell opened its first U.S. store in New York City, and along with the new flagship Houston location, Kartell stores can be found in Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and now in Houston.
